Mijas Costa Walkway
We are waiting for news on the approval of plans for the walkway (Senda Litoral) for the path between Fuengirola and La Cala de Mijas.
The Master Plan for this 5.3km coastal stretch was submitted to the authorities in April and they are aiming for the approval of the plans before the end of the year. This stretch is part of the larger project of the Malaga Coastal Path between Nerja and Manilva.
What is the Coastal Path
The Málaga Coastal Path (Senda Litoral de Málaga) in the Province of Málaga is a Project run by the Council, and it involves fourteen coastal municipalities, the administrative unions of coastal towns, the Andalusian Government’s Department of the Environment and Territory Planning, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment for the Coast and Sea. This project is meant to connect Manilva and Nerja by means of a long path (between 160 and 180 km long) that goes along the entire coast.
The project has its own website where you can read more about the plans and updates: http://www.sendalitoral.es/en/
